Every winter, just as the rain begins here in Northern California, my outdoor orchid begins to spike with blooms. I pray the blooms open before the hard cold and rain begins. Nature is not always cooperative. Cutting blooms and bringing indoors to enjoy certainly warms the gray days…and inspires photo play.
