I never stop thinking of paintings I want/need to make. I love the landscape. I grow and love flowers and don’t feel comfortable in my home without them in the house. However, the most exciting paintings I’ve done are portraits.

This must be my favorite painted portrait—daughter Jessica. It started as a project to photograph my daughter and a group of her high school friends—to capture them at a particular time in their lives, on the brink of adulthood.
Besides developing negatives from this project, I also printed the collection of images. A favorite of those translated beautifully into oil.
